Visit the Project Citizen Program

Project Citizen is a portfolio based civic education program for grades 6-9. It helps teachers and students understand how public policy is made and create change in their community.

Teachers in Arizona have been using Project Citizen since 1995. In it's initial year, four schools participated as part of a pilot program. Since then, over 300 teachers and safe schools officers have been trained and are using the curriculum with their students. Ongoing training opportunities are available throughout the year.
