Law for Kids

LawForKids.org, created in 2000, is a longstanding website designed and administered by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education. The site is designed to not only educate youth about the law, but encourage youth to become informed and active citizens. This website utilizes a holistic approach by providing:

  1. Parents and youth information that is current and relevant to today′s youth;
  2. Opportunities for youth to apply their skills and knowledge about the law through online activities, games and casting their vote for their favorite presidential candidate and/or proposition;
  3. Legal information about what occurs when a youth turns 18 and takes on the responsibilities of adulthood;
  4. Evidence based curricula, resources and training opportunities for educators teaching civic and law related based content;
  5. Recognition for amazing leaders, educators, schools and community members making a difference through civic education;
  6. And connecting the legal community (Courts, Law Firms, Probation and School Resource Officers) to classrooms.

During the 2016-2017 school year, 188,927 users visited LawForKids.org and an additional 49,650 Arizona students participated in the Kids Voting Arizona election (a program of LawForKids.org). This equates to 15,391,060 hits to the website in one year.
