The 4th Annual "Holiday Kick Off" Promotes Justice in Style

The 4th annual "Night for Justice" fundraising event, held at the Bentley Projects in downtown Phoenix, attracted a crowd of more than 300 attorneys, judges, and Foundation supporters. Special guests in attendance were authors Clive and Dirk Cussler, Peter Baird, Gary Stuart, Jon Talton, Betty Webb; Honored Guest Vice-Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch of the Arizona Supreme Court; Phoenix City Councilman Greg Stanton; and past State Board of Governors President, Chas Wirken. This fundraising event is an important component of the Foundation's efforts to provide legal support and education services throughout Arizona. In 2005, the Foundation, through the work of its grantees, enabled 18,000 families to receive free legal assistance, 800 schools to teach law related education, and 300,000 Arizona children to learn about the justice system and civic duties.

The lavish affair consisted of enjoying the art of local and national artists, sampling foods from the Valley's best caterers and restaurants, tasting fine wines, listening to the melodic jazz tunes of Simon Crown, and receiving autographs from local authors. Caterers included Mi Catering, Paradise Bakery & Café, Tapino Kitchen & Wine, Rio Sabor Brazil, Sam's Café, Arcadia Farms, and Honey Bear BBQ.
