Arizona Youth Leadership Conference

Now in it's 17th year, the Arizona Youth Leadership Conference will take place June 10th -14th at Eastern AZ College in Thatcher, AZ.

Submissions are needed from schools for outstanding sophomores and are due May 15th. Please spread the word to your schools, friends, and neighbors to have sophomores and juniors to apply. All expenses are paid including transportation

Activities include civics debates, constitutional studies, studying Robert's Rules of Order, Mock Trials, skits, a mini stock exchange and basic leadership activities.

The Conference is sponsored by the AZ Youth Leadership, INC (501 C 3) composed of 6 AZ Chapters of the Military Order of the World Wars (501 C 19). The Preamble of our organization stresses Patriotic Education and Civics. There are 24 such conferences throughout the US. The curriculum is based 50% on Leadership, 30% Americanism (civics) and 20% Free Enterprise. The program is sanctioned by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. It does not teach military subjects; however, there is a veterans Seminar and many of the instructors and staff are veterans. Our 85-100 students are high school sophomores and juniors and come from all over Arizona.
