CSI Arizona was developed in 2005 by Tina Ochoa, a former employee of the Foundation, and Officer Ed DeCastro of the Phoenix Police Department. The first Arizona competition took place in 2006, modeled after a similar competition in New York, and is now on its way to becoming a nationwide program.
