Overview: As a follow up to Project Citizen 101, this academy will prepare participants on the showcase aspects of Project Citizen. Whether you are planning on showcasing at the state showcase or in your classroom this training is for you. Attendees will receive step by step information on how to have their students select a project topic, create project portfolios, and how to showcase their work.  The training will also provide participants with useful resources and materials that will enhance the Project Citizen Program.
 
Training Objectives: As a result of this training participants will be able to…
 
  • Gain a more in depth understanding of what Public Policy is and how students can affect change in their communities through Project Citizen
  • Have a deeper understanding of how to facilitate students through the steps of the PC process
  • Further understand how to enhance your student’s learning through the showcase process
  • Receive tips and tricks for preparing your students for showcase under the guidelines and requirements of the Project Citizen Program
