Description

Overview: Obtaining a driver’s license is an exciting rite of passage for most teens. During this academy, participants will learn interactive ways to educate students on responsible driving. Participants will receive a variety of materials and curricula that will cover issues such as DUI, Road Rage, Distracted Driving, and Drag Racing. These lessons and activities will assist them in preparing students to become safe and responsible drivers.  
 
Training Objectives:
  • Educate students on the importance of following the rules and laws of the road
  • Provide students with the skills and knowledge to plan for safety
§ Teach students how to avoid dangerous situations
 
Campus Issues Addressed:
  • Lack of understanding rights and responsibilities
  • Lack of appreciation for surrounding community
  • Peer Pressure
  • Unsafe driving
  • Lack of respect for other drivers

    **Trainings are FREE for School Safety Officers. Scholarships are available on a limited basis for educators from a School Safety Site
