Description

Overview: Human trafficking – the exploitation of a person for labor or commercial sex through the use of force, fraud or coercion -.is a form of modern-day slavery During this training, participants will look at what makes teens vulnerable and learn how to equip their students with strategies to make safe decisions to protect themselves and others from exploitation.   Educators will receive lesson plans and resources designed to help youth be aware of the risks and how to report human trafficking. 
 
Training Objectives: 
  • Educate youth about unhealthy relationship behaviors that could lead to human trafficking
  • Teach students strategies to avoid unsafe situations
§ Teach students about the consequences of human trafficking
§ Inform students of the resources available to get help
