Description
Overview: During this academy, participants will learn interactive ways to educate students on driver education and safety. A variety of materials and curricula will be provided to participants that will cover legal topics such as the Graduated License Program, Arizona traffic laws, aggressive driving and DUIs. Participants will leave the training with lessons, activities, and resources that will assist them in preparing students to become safe and responsible drivers.
Training Objectives:
- Teach concepts associated with driving issues directly related to youth
- Learn how to implement interactive lessons on driver education
- Learn Arizona traffic safety laws
Campus Issues Addressed:
- Lack of understanding of traffic laws
- Lack of appreciation for surrounding community
- Lack of understanding of legal consequences related to driving
- Lack of understanding rights and responsibilities
