Description
Overview: Young people are vulnerable to abductions and abuse both at home, school and in the community. This training is designed to teach students practical information related to home alone safety, encountering strangers and being a good witness. Participants will be provided with a variety of curriculum as well as incorporate storytelling and hands on activities.
Training Objectives: As a result of this training, participants will be able to teach students the following:
- How to develop a safety plan
- How to react in emergency situations
- How to practice safe phone skills
- How to get help from trusted adults
Campus Issues Addressed:
- School abductions or attempted abductions
- Lack of knowledge in safety issues
- Lack of understanding rights and responsibilities
