Description
Overview: During this training, participants will be provided with all of the necessary tools to develop a successful Teen Court program on their campus. Teen Court is a program in which young people are tried and sentenced by their peers. School based Teen Courts are established and administered in the school environment and are used as a sentencing option for first-time offenders ages 11-17 who are charged with misdemeanor, nonviolent offenses.
Training Objectives: As a result of this training, participants will…
- Be provided interactive lessons to be utilized with Teen Court students
- Develop strategies for engaging students in Teen Court
- Develop a better understanding of the Teen Court process
