Description

Overview: Today’s youth are technologically savvy. With the ever increasing use of technology by teens, we need to ensure that they know the laws and consequences of violating them. From the new phenomenon of sexting, to cyber bullying, illegal downloading and even identity theft of minors; this one day academy will provide you with current statistics, ways in which teens are violating laws thru technological means, often times without any negative intentions and how the courts are addressing the criminal behavior. Participants will be provided curriculum and resource materials to assist in educating your students.
 
Training Objectives: As a result of this training participants will be able to…
  • Teach students about various types of illegal behavior that involve technology
  • Teach students to critically think about the consequences of their behavior
  • Understand risk and factors associated with their use of technology
